Project scope was to design a GMP pharmaceutical complex including clean room manufacturing spaces, analytical spaces and administration. support spaces. The clean room manufacturing rooms were designed to ISO Grade requirements with analytical research spaces also being designed to ISO Grade requirements. As an anchor building on the gateway corner to The Ohio State University’s Research and Development neighborhood on the west campus, it was important that the design of the building address the corner condition as well as create a pedestrian scale along Carmack Road for the proposed “walkable” community master plan. The project design schedule required multiple phased fast track documents. The 120,000 SF building is scheduled to commence production in 2022.
